Fabulous Vegas
Grand Canyons in Nevada and Rocky Mountains National Park in Colorado were our main destinations of the tour. However, on our way to these locations we got to experience other great locations. One of my favorites was LAS VEGAS commonly known as Vegas or the "Sin City" . Vegas draws hundreds of thousands of people each year for its popularity in gambling, fine dining, night life, glamour and much more. We didn't plan to spend much time in Vegas but I was pleasantly surprised by Vegas compared to what I thought of it in my imagination. This post is not a guide to the best bar or club but a general overview of what I experienced during my time there.
The picture below was taken right at the Airport~
Vegas had cheaper hotels even for the luxury/ high-end hotels along the Vegas strip.
We wanted to get a hotel along the Vegas strip as that was where most of the largest world-famous hotels, casinos and attractions were located.
The hotel rates of these famous casino hotels were pretty low as hotels mostly earned their income from gambling. We stayed at the Flamingo Hotel which is one of the oldest hotels in Vegas. The hotel has been renovated with an architectural theme of Miami Beach and Art deco. It has a tropical wildlife habitat for birds mainly flamingos, a 15-acre Caribbean-style water play ground and amazing views of the 550-foot tall Ferris Wheel.
Las Vegas strip is about 4 miles long but you can get to many locations just by walking as there are many pedestrian footbridges at popular intersections. Some of these bridges matches the theme of nearby resorts and casinos. There is also a Monorail stopping at several attractions along the strip. One of such stops is the Flamingo Casino hotel.
Vegas has a lot to offer and one of the most iconic attractions is the Bellagio dancing fountains and it's completely free. If you are walking along the Vegas Strip, it's unlikely you would miss it. These enchanting fountains are choreographed with lights and music and the water soars higher than the buildings in vicinity.
Tacos and Margaritas at the Tiki Bar. Food was yummy and servers were friendly and welcoming.
Hope to visit you again VEGAS!
